Community Midwives

A community midwife is available to discuss all matters relating to pregnancy. She does an antenatal clinic every Wednesday morning and liaises with both Trafford General and Wythenshawe Hospitals in delivering various care packages.

Community Nurses

Provide nursing care and support to patients either at Firsway Health Centre or at home. You can book in for wound care advice and ear syringing with our district nurses.

Health Visitors

The team consists of 4 health visitors, a community nursery nurse and a healthcare assistant and they can assess clients and refer on to specialist services such as speech and language, audiology, orthoptics, podiatry and the community paediatrician as appropriate. 

They can be contacted at their base or by coming into the 'drop-in' child health clinics we hold twice a week. (These are at the surgery on a Thursday morning between 09:30 and 10:30, and also at Meadway Health Centre, Meadway, Sale M33 4PS on Wednesday mornings between 09:30 and 11:15).
